XARO CAMP – SHAKAWE

Only accessible by pre-arranged boat transfer from Drotsky’s Cabins. Very private 8 x 2 man meru en-suite tented camp. Highly recommended for groups wanting total privacy, peace and quiet. Each tent is under the shade of huge trees, each tent overlooking the awesome Okavango River. An absolute must for birding enthusiasts, who simply do not wish to mingle with large numbers of other visitors. Hippo are often seen, monkeys as well as various types of antelope. Large numbers of crocodile are regularly sighted, basking in the sun, or perhaps coming closer to the waters edge when the sun begins to set. Rustic dining area, with a separate lounge and bar area. No self-catering facilities. Pool on offer for those unbearably hot days. A great place to recharge your batteries without breaking the bank!
