If you want to enjoy the Etosha experience without staying in one of the camps inside the Etosha National Park in Namibia, the Etosha Safari Lodge is the ideal solution. This lodge is only 9 km from the Anderson Gate, the southern entrance to the Park and is ideal for those preferring to self-drive or, alternatively, join the safari trips offered by the Etosha Safari Lodge.
Accommodation is provided in 65 luxury double-room chalets, all air-conditioned, en suite, elegant and spacious with tea/coffee-making facilities, fan, mosquito nets and private veranda overlooking the bush. Five of these are family units, while the Etosha Safari Lodge also offers 6 units for tour guides. The Etosha Safari Lodge is built on a hill, so you truly have beautiful views of the African savannah, even from the restaurant. All meals take the form of sumptious buffet, and dinner often includes a variety of venison dishes. The excellent meals are complimented by a wide range of choice South African wines.
Namibia can get quite hot, so it is comforting to know that the Etosha Safari Lodge offers three swimming pools to cool down in – ideal for when you return from a game drive into the Etosha National Park. Here you will see large numbers of animals, from herds of elephant and the endangered black rhino to a variety of antelope and 340 species of birds. At the Etosha Safari Lodge a terrace with a sundowner deck overlooks a waterhole where you can watch the animals coming to drink.
The Etosha Safari Lodge also offers a laundry service and safe parking for vehicles. Guests’ valuables can be booked in at the reception desk.
