Tourists on their way to the Etosha National Park and other destinations in the northern part of Namibia, will find Otjibamba Lodge a comfortable, friendly and affordable stopover point. Otjibamba Lodge is near Otjiwarongo, on the B1-road from Windhoek and is situated on its own private game reserve. It is home to quite a number of Namibian game species, such as oryx, kudu, giraffe and more.
Accommodation at Otjibamba Lodge takes the form of 20 separate thatched chalets that blend into the surrounding bushveld. There are 12 double rooms, and 8 twin rooms, all en suite, air-conditioned, with TV and telephone. The chalets are comfortable and spacious. Each chalet has a veranda (with comfortable chairs to lounge on) overlooking the Namibian bushveld. The chalets at Otjibamba Lodge are tastefully furnished in such a way as to reflect the colours of the surrounding veld.
Otjibamba Lodge serves delicious a la carte meals from two restaurants, accompanied by an impressive list of South African wines. Game dishes are their speciality, but there are a variety of dishes to suit every taste. A lounge and ladies bar completes the picture. If you are looking for that special memento to take home, Otjibamba Lodge has a curio shop on the premises.
The Lodge also looks after the interests of junior visitors – their kiddies playground will keep the children entertained for hours. The well-kept garden at Otjibamba Lodge is an oasis and the ideal place to relax in after a day’s travelling.
