ONKOSHI

Situated on the eastern edge of the Etosha Park is a large geological formation which can be spotted from outer space. On this unusual peninsula lies a luxury camp – Onkoshi. Onkoshi Camp is designed as an exclusive, eco-friendly, semi-permanent and up-market facility. Built on elevated wooden decks, a great amount of care was taken for Onkoshi Camp to make as little impact as possible on the surrounding environment.

Guest accommodation includes 15 units primarily built of wood, thatch and canvas. Each unit has a large wooden deck where guests can relax and absorb the primal mystery of the century-old Etosha Pan. It is a breath-taking sight whether it is filled with water in exceptional seasons or has transformed to the more familiar, vast salt pan in drier times. The restaurant and bar facilities are hosted at a central area and an open-air swimming pool overlooking the vast expanse of the Etosha Pan provides cool relief from the African sun. The exclusive activities on offer include guided walks and guided game drives to remote parts of Etosha National Park.
