Hakusembe River Lodge  is a friendly, welcoming safari lodge offering luxury accommodation near Rundu, Namibia. It is the perfect place to stay over for a few days if you are on your way to or from the popular tourist attractions of the Etosha National Park or Caprivi Strip.

Among their 8 luxury chalets overlooking the Kavango River, there is even a floating chalet! All chalets are airconditioned and en suite and equipped with safe, fridge, mosquito nets and fan. Children are most welcome at the Hakusembe River Lodge. The Lodge extends a special welcome to disabled guests. They also offer a laundry service and internet access.

The central part of the lodge comprises a sparkling swimming pool, bar and restaurant. The restaurant of the Hakusembe River Lodge serves a scrumptious English breakfast, light lunch and for dinner you can look forward to their signature dishes: venison, fish dishes and steaks.

There is a lot to do at the Hakusembe River Lodge. The Kavango River in this area is teeming with bream and tiger-fish (and if you are fortunate enough to land a tiger-fish, the Hakusembe River Lodge will organise your trophy to be mounted – you will not need to tell any “the one that got away” stories back home!).

The area is also teeming with birds: almost 400 bird species have been identified. The early morning guided bird walk is something not to be missed. You can also try water-skiing, indulge in a peaceful river cruise, or enjoy one of the Hakusembe River Lodge’s specialities – a champagne sunset cruise. The sunset in this part of Namibia is something you will not forget easily. The culture vultures will enjoy the African dancing nights and a picnic safari to the Watu in Angola.
