In the furthest northern part of Namibia Hakusembe River Lodge lies on the southern banks of the Okavango River in the Kavango region. It offers a tranquil stay with lush green lawns, big trees, chalets and campsites. A mere 16km from the hustle and bustle of Rundu you will find everything you might need for a very relaxing stay at the Lodge. Cool off at the pool, eat breakfast, lunch and supper at the restaurant, or enjoy some refreshment at the bar. There is 24-hour security, secure parking and mobile connectivity. From the floating deck you can hear the soothing sounds of the abundant birdlife as you watch the local people passing in their dugout canoe’s.
The GPS to Hakusembe is: S 17° 51.033 E 19° 40.287. Follow the B10 from just outside Rundu and take the access road for 12km to your destination on the banks of the Okavango river. The lodge lies 16km from the centre of Rundu.
Hakusembe River offers you a choice of 20 chalets of which 18 are Twin bungalows and 2 are Triple bungalows. Each of these bungalows look out over the Okavango river and have en-suite bathrooms, mosquito nets, air conditioning, a safe for your valuables, a veranda and tea/coffee facilities.
Activities such as tiger fishing, sunset boat cruises and fishing excursions are popular, but simply sitting and reading on the floating deck is an activity that might be just the right thing for you.
