Leopard Rock Hotel

The Leopard Rock Hotel is one of Zimbabwe’s legendary and most well-known tourist establishments. Located in the Vumba Mountains in the Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe, the Leopard Rock Hotel has been a favourite haunt of royalty, sport stars, celebrities - as well as “ordinary” tourists who appreciate the finer things in life.

The hotel, with its French Chateau atmosphere, was described as the most beautiful place in Africa by the British Queen Mother on her visit to Zimbabwe in 1953. Since then, little has changed.

A floodlit tennis court, swimming pool, squash courts and gymnasium are all part of the package. If you are feeling lucky, why not visit the Casino with its poker machines, roulette, Black Jack, Punto Banco and Chemine de Fer? Explore the surrounding countryside on a horse safari (day safari or overnight) or on long and short hiking trails. Also visit the Mbiga Falls, Vumba Botanical Gardens, Bunga Forest Botanical Reserve, Hivu Nursery, Mutare Museum, Mutare Heights, Lake Alexander and the Smallbridge Dam. The Leopard Rock Game Reserve is home to impala, wildebeest, zebra, nyala as well as kudu and offers many opportunities for the keen photographer.

It is difficult to believe that some people are on business when staying at the Leopard Rock Hotel! For these tireless souls, the Leopard Rock Hotel in the Vumba Mountains offers conference facilities that rank amongst the best in Zimbabwe. There are four venues, each able to accommodate groups of varying sizes and equipped with every possible conference requirement.
